The area offers an abundance of walking trails, Malham Tarn, The Cove and Janet's Foss - a spectacular waterfall. The village of Malham is an ideal base for visitors to the Dales who come to see one of Britain's most impressive natural features - Malham Cove. The Cove consists of a natural cavern or 'amphitheatre' of limestone rock stretching 75 metres in height and 300 metres around the perimeter. A steep walk up man-made steps is rewarded with a superb view across moors and limestone pavements to Malham Tarn - the Pennines' highest natural lake. The village itself has pubs and tearooms and a National Park Centre.

    The property was spacious, clean and welcoming with lots of character. It was easy to relax. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There was adequate parking for us all.

    Plenty of space for a group of friends and the beds and bathrooms were all lovely and clean. Very quiet location yet an easy walk to Malham Cove and into the village. It was very comfortable. Thankyou to the owner who allowed us a later checkout as we were doing a marathon walk for Macmillan.
