Grisedale Barn is a spacious and well-located property ideal for large groups and social gatherings. Its ample single beds, enclosed garden, and proximity to walking areas are appreciated. The property offers a warm atmosphere and is particularly suitable for walkers.
Some guests reported cleanliness issues such as dirt under beds and stained towels, suggesting room for improvement. However, not all reviews mentioned cleanliness negatively, indicating inconsistency.
The property's location is praised for its quiet, rural setting with easy access to local walks and towns, making it well-regarded by guests.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the heating effective, but some noted a need for cosier touches and better-quality furnishings to enhance comfort.
The property is equipped for large groups, with a well-stocked kitchen and good parking. However, guests suggest updates are needed for bathrooms, decor, and some appliances.
While fresh flowers and quick responses from the owners were mentioned, there is insufficient information on consistent thoughtful gestures such as gifts to provide a score.

House was very warm, some of the bedrooms were surprisingly big, which was great. A great choice of twin rooms ideal for mainly singles from a walking group. Enclosed garden with a lawn, which was great for letting the dog out - attended of course. Didn't see the owners which wasn't a problem. House was simply decorated with a Christmas tree which kept us in the festive spirit. Definitely recommend staying here.

The barn was dirty. No basic essentials.ie hand-wash. Pedal bin liners. Table cloth. Had to use pillows from beds for cushions. Couldn't open windows. Needs a good refurb. It was so bad we came home after 3 days. Spoke to owners. Refused to give refund and said we should make the most of what we had which was nothing.
