Loved the cottage. The 'upside down' layout really worked for us. Fantastic views and as we were there in a heatwave the bedrooms on the ground floor were pleasantly cool. The garden is excellent and provided your dog is big enough not to get through a 5 bar gate is secure. Not sure the property is big enough for 6 adults as the 3rd bedroom in very small and has bunk beds. Should be OK for 4 +2 small children. As with many pubs now-a days the Fox and Hounds in the village and the Buck at Buckden have restricted opening days. But those in Kettlewell better.

It is a good size house with plenty of off street parking, Gardens are well kept and mostly safe for your pets only the gate is a concern if you have a small dog, totally safe for children Downstairs there are three bedrooms with a main bathroom and a ensuite, with plenty of hot water at all times,Upstairs is the main living and dining kitchen, with everything you will need to cook with even a ninja air fryer, a washer/dryer if you feel the need to wash. The views from upstairs are amazing, Area there are four pubs all serve food near by 5mins drive or the fox and hound 5mins walk, pizza from a lady in the village which can be ordered they are amazing £13.50 There are so many walks, we have stayed at well house three times and booked for next year, we would highly recommend the well house

We have stayed in this wonderful detached house for five years now - it is a superb holiday home - the hosts are so thoughtful and welcoming and have thought of everything you could possibly need to have a fantastic holiday in this gorgeous house. The location is superb, with glorious walks from the door - and a lovely village pub that serves great food. Fantastic places to visit within easy reach - we are back this September in fact - have decided we need more than one visit a year! Cannot recommend Well House too highly.
