Set within the stunning Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Holmeside Barn is superb quality, holiday accommodation for up to eight guests which offers unbelievable views of the rolling countryside which surrounds the barn. This stunning stone-built barn conversion, which dates back around the 1800s, has been stylishly decorated and furnished with the focus being on homely comfort. Ideal for get togethers, special occasions and multi-family holidays. The ground floor mainly has flagstone floors adding to the character.
There is a sociable farmhouse kitchen/dining room which is well presented and well-equipped for all your culinary needs and a great place to socialise. Bi-fold doors from the kitchen/dining room lead out onto the wonderful, decked area, a perfect place to sit and relax in the summer months with your favourite holiday tipple. A real feature of the property is the stunning sunroom with floor-to-ceiling windows with views as far as the eye can see. Holmeside Barn has four good sized bedrooms across both the first and ground floors with various layouts to suit the whole groups sleeping arrangements, and the ground floor bedrooms have access to the garden. In addition, one of the bedrooms has an en-suite.
To the rear of the property there is a large lawned garden, complete with hidden ditch, so the view is uninterrupted, leading to a large lower lawn complete with a children’s play area. Holmeside Barn is surrounded by wildlife and livestock, so we ask that only well behaved dogs are brought. The garden area is not enclosed!
Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is a perfect retreat for walkers, cyclists, and ramblers, with plenty of walks, cycle paths, bridleways, and established footpaths into picturesque countryside. Close to the picturesque market town of Masham, with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Nearby you will find the cathedral city of Ripon with an abundance of restaurants, pubs, cafés and independent shops that can all be easily reached. The Barn is also well placed for visiting the fashionable spa town of Harrogate, Fountains Abbey, RHS Garden Harlow Carr and Studley Royal are just a short drive away. This all means that Holmeside Barn is a fantastic base for your perfect Yorkshire getaway.

The cottage was amazing and the owners were so accommodating. We had someone in a wheel chair and they made ramps up for us, for the few little steps they had in the house so would make it easier for us to get around. The cottage was beautiful inside and out and had everything you could need in there. The bedroom are great sizes and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the little handling ducks on strings to get you to duck for the beams if your very tall. We spent most of the time in the kitchen but had a great sun room to relax in and the other living room was lovely with the log fire. The weather was perfect whilst we were there and the outside decking area was a sun trap with the chairs to chill out on. Loved the chickens that wondered across to meet us. Everything was perfect and we would highly recommend the cottage to everyone. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything you did for us and the welcome pack was lovely touch too. We booked Holmeside Barn for a few days away with our grown up children and baby granddaughter. We have visited Pateley Bridge lots of times when the children were young and so wanted to stay somewhere where we could visit all the places they remember as children ie Brimham Rocks, Bolton Abbey and of course Pateley! We also have 2 dogs so needed somewhere dog friendly. Holmeside Barn fitted most of our needs and on the whole didn’t disappoint. However the position of the bathroom’s wasn’t ideal and a secure area for the dogs would have been nice!The garden room was a lovely feature and we spent more time in there than the darker living room - though the fact that the wet room led directly off it was not ideal!
