Perfect for families, friends or couples, this pet-friendly property enjoys picturesque, rural views, whilst resting a leisurely stroll from a selection of amenities and attractions. Benefit from three private parking spaces, where you can unload your belongings with ease, before heading indoors, storing your muddy boots and coats in the hallway; a handy utility also rests nearby, where you can keep on top of your washing. The kitchen is well-equipped, perfect for rustling up delicious dishes to be enjoyed together around the formal dining table, over a bottle of wine, enjoying the woodburning stove on winter evenings. Cosy up in the sitting room, with plush seating to sink into and a woodburning stove to light, whilst the outdoor space offers a lovely area to relax in the sunshine whilst planning your impending itinerary. Heading upstairs, reach four spacious and beautifully-appointed bedrooms, including a master super-king-size with sofa, desk/dressing table, TV and en-suite shower room, a king-size, double, and a twin; all feature plenty of storage and Smart speakers. Once you’re ready to venture out and explore the delights of Hawes, be spoilt for choice with a selection of shops, filled with local produce, pubs and eateries, perfect for visiting across your self-catered stay; for attractions, enjoy a tour of Wensleydale Creamery, head to the Dales Countryside Museum, or follow the hiking trail up to Hardraw Force Waterfall or Stag Fell. Take a drive along the Dales, firstly stopping off at Aysgarth Falls and Cauldron Falls for some beautiful scenes, before reaching the old mining town of Reeth, or the market town of Leyburn, where you can find a great selection of eateries, pubs, galleries, shops and more; follow the River Ure from Leyburn to Richmond, the perfect spot to take in stunning views of the nearby castle and abbey, and wander through the cobbled streets of the market square, filled with boutique shops, eateries and bars. Drive South West to the spectacular Ribblehead viaduct, Malham Cover, Grassington (the home of “All Creatures Great and Small”) and Ingleton. South East brings you down to Harrogate, Skipton and Brimham rocks – an almost alien landscape! For the more energetic or adventurous the three peaks are accessible from the viaduct. With such an array of attractions nearby, Ings House makes the perfect base.

Hawes is a popular market town in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire and is regarded as one of the honeypot tourist attractions of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Standing between Buttertubs and Fleet Moss, the town is an excellent centre for walking and touring Wensleydale and the adjoining dales of Swaledale, Cotterdale, Dentdale, Garsdale, Wharfedale and Chapel-le-Dale. Take a walk around the Hawes Town Trail, Millennium Walk, Pennine Way or along the River Ure, which is nearby. In 1998 Hawes was awarded the English Tourist Board Silver Award for the "Best Day Trip Out". Modern traffic has long replaced coaches and horse drawn wagons along its narrow streets, but market day (Tuesdays) in Hawes is as busy as ever, with a farmers’ auction attracting sheep farmers from all over the north of England. Traditional shops, cafés and inns now cater for a variety of Dales visitors as well as the local community. The award-winning Wensleydale Creamery, made famous by the animated Wallace and Grommit films, is now open to visitors so that they can see the famous cheese being made and sample the end product in a welcoming café. In the old station yard you will find the busy National Park Centre and Dales Countryside Museum. The Museum is home to the magnificent collection of Dales artefacts by the two great Dales historians and writers, Marie Hartley and Joan Ingilby.

However, can I respectfully suggest that all information regarding parking says the same as the diagram in the hallway of the house???? The instructions I was given on my check-in details said to park one car parallel to bollards; one parallel to the property and the 3rd....in front of garage (the latter was fine) I had not had chance to get into the property before the next door neighbour came out to complain and it made our arrival a little unpleasant. If your instructions had followed the diagram in the house, there would have been no problem (2 cars parallel parked). Also, I feel the information guide in the lounge needs the exact same parking details. I felt they could be misunderstood.

The property is excellent and brilliantly equipped. There was a welcome bundle for refreshments, plenty of information about the area and a mass of resources in the kitchen and the lounge. They had an excellent selection of games to play. The cleanliness was good but not thorough. We suspect that the owners would be disappointed with the standard of cleaning done. Please get the dishwasher sorted - we were on holiday lol. However, this did not distract from the brilliance of the place. More guidance on the rubbish would help. We are thinking of making it a regular place.

The garden is the best we’ve found in the dales for our dog; it is large & secure which meant she had the freedom to roam off lead. The only negative was the absence of a dishwasher, which was on the listing; just a note explaining the problem would’ve been acceptable. Other than that, Ings is the best house we’ve rented in Wensleydale; lots of thoughtful touches, such as the treats for us & very useful items for our dog.. Thank you.
