About this property

Enjoying a central location in the quiet market town of Hawes, this beautiful traditional stone-built cottage provides welcoming accommodation for families, friends and couples looking for a relaxing base in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Providing ample accommodation for up to five guests, the property has been sympathetically updated while retaining plenty of original character, with a cheery wood burner, timber beams, wooden flooring, exposed stonework and a charming courtyard garden.

Approaching the cottage, the traditional rustic stone exterior offers a warm welcome and leads you into the cosy lounge. With a wood burner and wooden beams, the pretty lounge is an ideal space to settle back and relax in the evenings with a good book or a film on the Smart TV. Doors lead through to a charming snug with flagstone flooring, a keyboard and a choice of books to browse. With stone walls, wooden flooring and beams, the country-style kitchen/diner is perfect for preparing and sharing tasty meals. Heading upstairs there’s a soothing family bathroom and you will have a choice of three bright and colourful bedrooms: two cheerful doubles and a lovely single. A door leads from the kitchen and out into a delightful and fully enclosed courtyard garden. Surrounded by fresh flowers and plants, the garden has outdoor furniture perfect for a spot of al fresco dining at the end of a fantastic day out.

The friendly Yorkshire town of Hawes is home to a choice of great pubs and restaurants as well as the Dales Countryside Museum, Gayle Mill and the Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre. Set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the town is surrounded by magnificent scenery offering miles of unforgettable walking trails. Local attractions include Bolton Castle, the Ribblehead Viaduct, Aysgarth Falls and The Forbidden Corner, all within 15 miles.

Excellent, warming and welcoming property. The whole house was full of its own traditional quirks which were just gorgeous. Loved the shower and the fire! The whole atmosphere of the town and the property even had a very calming affect on the pooch. We all absolutely loved our stay and above all had the best nights sleep in the very comfy feather beds!
