Guests say

Carriage House offers a spacious, well-equipped and characterful stay in a peaceful village setting, with beautiful gardens and easy access to local walks and attractions. Guests consistently praise the cleanliness, location, and the helpfulness of the owners. While some mention the cottage can be a little cold and note minor issues with beds and hot water, the overall experience is very positive, with many guests keen to return.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as clean and tidy, with no significant complaints about cleanliness. Only one mention of bird mess on the stairs due to nesting swallows, which is an external factor.

The location is repeatedly described as excellent, peaceful, and beautiful, with easy access to walks, local attractions, and village amenities.

Guests generally found the cottage comfortable and spacious, but some noted firm or squeaky beds, occasional coldness, and minor issues with pillows and hot water management.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped, spacious, and functional. Some minor issues were mentioned, such as a malfunctioning toaster (quickly replaced), heating effectiveness, and shower pressure, but these did not detract significantly from the overall experience.

The owners are described as friendly and helpful, assisting with requests and providing a WiFi booster. One guest mentioned the owners lent them flour, but as gifts or extras are not guaranteed, this cannot be expected by all guests.

Lovely clean cottage, well equipped and spacious. WiFi has been commented on in the odd review but owners have installed a smart tv and wifi booster so not a problem. My only criticism is the lack of local information in the flat - there's an excellent butchers in the village, great pub and Ramsays fish and chip van visits every Tuesday but no helpful leaflets to point the guest in their direction.

Excellent little cottage, very well equipped, very spacious, clean and cosy, located just outside of Leyburn, lots of walks and places to visit. The owners are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, we will return. ( we read in other comments that this cottage was cold, BUT it was far from cold, with snow on the hills it was still lovely and warm in every room).

Great cottage, heating not very effective cold throughout. Shower poor pressure and cool temperature. Excellent location, great grounds and garden for the dog to explore. Parking great. Some fairly steep stairs to the cottage. Would defiantly come back, in the warmer weather.
