About this property

Located in the bustling town of Leyburn, North Yorkshire lies Daisy Cottage, a traditional semi-detached cottage hosting two bedrooms, ideal for escaping to Yorkshire. Boasting a lovely garden and off-road parking, this charming dwelling is suitable for a family or two couples looking for a fun-filled break. Park your car and step into the property, up three steps and into the sitting room where two sofas and a plush armchair welcome you to kick off your shoes and relax in front of the TV with your loved ones while the woodburning stove creates a sense of comfort. From here, happen upon the amply-equipped kitchen/diner with all the amenities you need to rustle up some tasty meals throughout your stay, including an electric oven and hob, a microwave, and the all-important dishwasher to lessen the load while you are away, while the attractive white-wood dining seating makes for the ideal place to plan the day ahead․ Just off the kitchen is the spacious walk-in pantry, with a dryer and coak hooks for all your walking gear. After a long day of exploring the area, retire to one of the double bedrooms located on the first floor, decorated with a light décor, the first bedroom includes a built in double wardrobe, a further built in cupboard with spacious shelving and lovely views of the garden and gives a bright and airy feel to the property. From here, the second bedroom, also lovely and bright, hosts a double bed and some storage for you to unpack your belongings before putting your feet up and resting your eyes. Prepare for your day in the family bathroom, with its sleek tile finish, this houses a bath, shower over, and a heated towel rail as well as a basin and WC, while back on the ground floor a convenient shower room, with underfloor heating, a basin, WC and a heated towel rail, lies just off the sitting room. Moving through the property and into a cute porch with an armchair, the back door leads you to a charming enclosed garden with outdoor seating on the patio and a lawn for your four-legged friends to play on while you enjoy a glass of wine in the summer sun. For meals out while you are in the area, try the numerous cafes or perhaps one of the many pubs including The Bolton Arms, a traditional Yorkshire pub serving locally sourced ingredients in their meals and of course a delicious Sunday roast or venture further into the town to The Sandpiper Inn for a unique dining experience in a classically Yorkshire setting. Further afield, less than 10 miles away, are the award winning restarants of The Blue Lion at East Witton and The Wensleydale Heiffer at West Witton. The area has an abundance of beautiful attractions for you to enjoy, such as The Forbidden Corner, known for its underground passages, making for an interesting day of walking, or for the avid walkers, head to Constable Burton Hall Gardens, a Grade I-listed mansion encompassed by a wooded park and pretty formal gardens․ The Dales National Park provides stunning, all round scenery with numerous walking routes to suit all levels of ability. For the animal lovers of the group, Big Sheep Little Cow is a scenic drive away, where you can hold and feed the adorable farm animals for a true taste of the Yorkshire lifestyle. The historians of the group will enjoy a wealth of landmarks in the surrounding areas notably, Middleham Castle, once the childhood home of Richard III, surrounded by fields and picturesque villages, or branch out to Richmond Castle in the bustling town of Richmond, one of the finest tourist attractions in Yorkshire. Enjoy a refreshing break with your loved ones in Daisy Cottage, perfect all year round.

A short walk to all the local shops and on the main routes to the rest of the dales. Good facilities throughout the cottage and the 2 toilets were extremely handy. Lovely enclosed gardens that we and the dogs enjoyed. The welcome pack was great too. The only downside for us was the electric heating which was remotely controlled. It was supposed to come on in the morning and in the afternoon/evening but it didn’t. It did come on for less than an hour on a couple of occasions but that was that. Consequently the bedroom and bathroom were cold the whole time. Fortunately the log burner kept the downstairs warm. We ended up buying 4 extra bags.

For Daisy Cottage we genuinely couldn't find any faults as much as we tried. The welcome pack was well thought through including the dogs, the kitchen was a dream to cook and eat in, the bedrooms were comfortable, the wifi worked well, it was lovely and warm. The contained garden was ideal for the dogs. It was a great location for exploring Leyburn and beyond. Thank you
