Slater's Cottage is praised for its spotless cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches like provided cleaning products. Its location is central, convenient for local amenities and exploring the Dales. However, comfort is compromised by the uncomfortable sofas, and parking can be problematic. Facilities are generally good, with some suggestions for minor improvements.
Guests consistently note the cottage as being spotlessly clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The cottage's central position in the village near pubs and shops is appreciated, though some guests mention a busy road. Its proximity to local attractions is a plus.
While the beds are described as comfy and the cottage as warm, multiple reviews criticise the sofas for being uncomfortable, affecting the overall comfort level.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and additional shower room. However, suggestions for new frying pans, coat hooks, and wall mirrors indicate room for maintenance and improvement.
Thoughtful provisions like washing pods and a bottle of fizz on arrival are mentioned, enhancing the guest experience. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be provided every time.

The cottage was comfortable and warm and very clean and welcoming. It is situated right next to the town square with lovely views over the countryside. We visited the local pubs and shops and everyone was so friendly. We are definitely coming back!

Lovely cottage, well equipped . The only little negative would be the sofas not very comfortable but would not deter me from booking again . Would highly recommend .

The cottage is lovely in a beautiful location. The only problem is the parking. The cottage is advertised as having 1 parking space outside and 2 parking spaces on the road opposite. When we arrived, a car was parked outside the cottage. This car belonged to the neighbour who informed us that parking is not allocated, but on a first come first served basis, including on the road opposite. Therefore, the cottage should not be advertised as having parking. The travel cot provided would only accommodate a baby up to about 9 months of age. This should also be mentioned in the description. There was no outside bin for kitchen waste which is very unusual.
