Please note: There is a fenced pond in the garden, 2 yards away.. The Farmhouse has a spacious farmhouse kitchen which is the focal point of the house, where guests can gather around the central island and cosy up in winter months in front of the range fireplace. Superbly equipped with all the necessary appliances and accessories. The stylish living room is warm and welcoming, with a wood burner and comfortable sofas and French doors leading out to the patio area. Whether it’s casual dining and a glass of wine in the kitchen, or more formal dining in the dining room, this property caters for your every need. Upstairs the large bedrooms are beautifully furnished with super comfortable beds. The first, a kingsize has a Smart TV and views looking down across the Dales. The second a super kingsize has Smart TV and dual aspect windows with beautiful views and shares a Jack and Jill style bathroom with the third double room. All bedrooms have views over the Dale. There is a luxurious family bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower cubicle.
Outside there are several areas to sit and enjoy the day. To the rear French doors lead out onto a flagged patio area, set with table and chairs where you can sit and watch the horses as they graze in the paddock. There is a further patio area to the front with garden furniture, and a large front lawn which is shared with The Barn. For guests bringing their furry friends the property extends to two paddocks directly across the road which is ideal for dog walking.
Situated in the picturesque village of West Witton and within walking distance of the village store, tea rooms and post office. With its highly acclaimed restaurant The Wensleydale Heiffer a short stroll away this makes a perfect choice for a special celebration. For those looking to explore the great outdoors, there are walks and cycle routes straight from the doorstep. With numerous attractions to visit, the stunning waterfalls at Aysgarth Falls or Hawes with its quirky shops and cafés and the famous Wensleydale Creamery. In the opposite direction visit the picturesque village of Middleham and its famous castle, enjoy the sights as the racehorses ride to and from the gallops each day or sit it in the village square and enjoy a coffee as you watch the world go by. A little further and you will reach the bustling market town of Leyburn with a host of interesting shops, restaurants and cafés all set around the market square and of course Friday is market day and a chance to snap up some of the gorgeous local produce.

The cottage was great, pots weren’t washed or was dirty had to do a dishwasher load when arrived. No salt or rinse aid in machine. Lots of rooms had cobwebs which appears that they have been there for ages. TV in main bedroom signal is poor a breaks up and is unwatchable, other rooms TV is good. Other than that the cottages is beautiful and area is great. Management company who runs it for owners needs to shoulder some of the blame. Owners need to be aware as the company are letting you down.

We have stayed in many cottages across the UK. This cottages was truly wonderful. It is a lovely old Yorkshire cottage finished inside to a very high standard while still retaining a country farm house feelEverything is qualityThe local pub the Fox is full of life with and character. The village of West Whiton has a good shop fin dining hotel/pub and the Fox, so it ticks many boxes the town of Leyburn just 4miles away has many out standing shops. Everyone we found was well worth a visit.Cottages has easy access to all parts of the Dales.We would find it hard to believe if you didn’t rate the cottage as highly as us

The Farmhouse is spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated and has everything you could need. Its in a quiet location and the the beds are very comfy. The views of the Dales from every window are amazing and we enjoyed seeing the horses in the field at the back every day. West Witton is a great location to be based for days out there's Aysgarth Falls nearby along with Bolton Castle and both are well worth a visit. We would love to return here, Thank you.
