Located within stunning rolling green countryside between the popular dales market towns of Leyburn and Bedale is ’The Smithy’. This beautifully presented semi detached cottage formerly calf pens has been lovingly restored and converted by the owners to create wonderful accommodation, oozing with charm and character. The open plan living area is light and airy with patio doors leading to a private sunny patio to the rear. To the front is a second patio and use of a shared lawned orchard, ideal for capturing the sunshine from dawn until dusk. There are two cosy bedrooms one providing a double bed with luxurious en suite bath/shower room. The second providing zip and link twin beds creating a king size bed if requested and a stylish en suite equipped with a large walk in shower, making it the ideal accommodation for families or two couples who may like to holiday together. Shop 3 miles, pub 500 yards and restaurant 5 miles.
Shared use of extensive lawned area. Up to four dogs only, owner may accept more on request. First 2 dogs go free, any aditional dogs are charge at £20 per dog.

For. The exploring of the York dales it’s is fantastic going to visit places off the beaten track .most places like York Ripon and Whitby are a drive away.Nice pubs to eat from and lovely villages to explore .The smithy was spotless and a bonus of having a teapot ! Make friends with farm cat Wajjy and the dog Meg plus say hello to Tilly the horse,. But whatever you do .dont run over the ducks ..whe decided to have a bath in the puddle in front of the car ..yes we let them !! Loved our stay .Chris and her family were lovely and yes we will go back ..xxxxThank you Chris …***.

The Smithy is just lovely from start to finish . The whole place has been equipped to a very high standard through out .The area is good for walking ( with or without a dog ) Fab place to have a holiday

The Smithy is in a lovely, peaceful location in the Yorkshire Dales.The cottage was cosy and clean with some luxurious little extras which were appreciated. We had everything we needed for our stay.The only negative for us was not having WiFi, not because we wanted to connect with the outside world so much, but not having access to our music, tv apps and checking maps.
