Deer Park Cottage receives glowing praise for its stunning location, spacious and beautifully appointed interiors, and exceptional cleanliness. Guests highlight the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and breathtaking views, making it ideal for family gatherings and walking holidays. The peaceful, remote setting is a particular favourite, with excellent walks from the doorstep. Minor issues such as firm beds, occasional maintenance niggles, and the steep access road are mentioned but do not detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences. The property is highly recommended for those seeking a relaxing and memorable countryside retreat.
Cleanliness is consistently praised, with multiple guests describing the cottage as spotless, immaculately clean, and well maintained. Only a couple of minor comments mention missed dust or shower drains, but these are rare exceptions.
The location is widely celebrated for its panoramic views, tranquillity, and proximity to excellent walks. The remote setting is appreciated by most, though the narrow access road and distance from amenities are noted by a few.
Guests find the cottage spacious, warm, and comfortable, with special mention of the beds, underfloor heating, and relaxing atmosphere. A few mention firm beds and thin doors, but overall comfort is rated very highly.
Facilities are described as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen, ample hot water, and thoughtful amenities. Minor suggestions include sharper knives, more utensils, and occasional maintenance (e.g., EV charger, bifold doors), but these do not significantly impact satisfaction.
Several guests appreciated welcome packs and thoughtful touches such as milk, bread, and coffee, though some noted these are not always consistent or guaranteed. Communication is generally good, though a few found automated messages excessive.

Very spacious and clean with excellent views and for watching wildlife, especially the hares and oyster catchers. Walks from the front door was a bonus as it meant we didn't have to use a car especially as the access road is single track with few passing bays. The walk into Reeth is good just beware there you have to walk through a small section of the house you come to. The typical small gate found in the area on footpaths makes it easy to find. The property is exceptionally well equipped if you are cooking. Would perhaps suggest a few small containers to put left overs in but not essential.
