Deer Park is consistently praised for its stunning location, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the comfortable accommodation, beautiful views, and the peacefulness of the surroundings. The property is ideal for groups and families, offering spacious rooms and modern amenities. While some minor issues are mentioned, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests frequently commend the property for its cleanliness, noting it as 'spotless' and 'clean'. There are minor mentions of overlooked areas, but these do not detract significantly from the overall high standards maintained.
The property's location is highly praised for its amazing views and quiet setting. It is noted as remote with a narrow access road, which is seen positively for those seeking tranquility. Proximity to local walks and towns like Reeth adds to its appeal.
Comfort is well-regarded with mentions of comfortable beds and underfloor heating. Some guests find the beds hard and pillows unsupportive, but these are individual preferences rather than widespread issues.
Facilities are generally seen as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample amenities. There are some minor maintenance issues like the bifold doors needing a shove and an EV charger not working, but these are exceptions in an otherwise positive outlook.
While guests mention welcome food items, there is not enough consistent detail about gifts to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that any gifts provided are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

Just a few minor things . It was a bit chilly inside when we arrived so we rang Ruth who quickly fixed the issue. There were a few dusty places that were missed. The shower drains needed a bit of of a clean out they collect hair which gets smelly. We know this from home so knew what the problem was. The utensils could be added to. Also maybe some glass fruit bowls and some ramekins. New baking trays, they do get worn quickly. Maybe sachets of condiments, you can buy them on Amazon would be a nice touch. The welcome pack was a bit lacking from what we had read. Maybe a loaf of bread, butter etc. We got milk, cheese and sweet biscuits, they didn't seem to gel. Overall we thought it was fabulously clean . We go to cottages regularly and this was pretty much perfect.. ..only 3 spiders. A bonus. You can buy a window film for the downstairs bathroom loo window. We use it at home. Also we couldn't get our external hard drive for dvds to connect. The sheep, mice and pheasants were amusing. Also the owls when out at night were fabulous to spot, the deer gave me a fright. I think I have him one too. We came for a peaceful, relaxing break and we went home wanting to book for next year. 🌺
