What can we say about Ghyll View that hasn’t already been said. The cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy, with everything one could need and more. Being perfectly situated in Gunnerside with walks directly from the door step and the village pub a couple of minutes away. If we stay in Gunnerside again Ghyll view would be our first choice.P.S The chickens are extremely funny

We loved staying at Ghyll View and have never felt so completely at home in a holiday home before. The house is in a lovely setting, warm, clean and very comfortable. It is obvious that the owners use this "home from home" themselves, as it is fully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need for your stay. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, and the selection of walking books and maps available is truly impressive. There is also a visitors book full of useful information and helpful recommendations on places to visit and eat. Sunday lunch at The George and Dragon at Hudswell being a particularly memorable recommendation. The welcome basket contains a great selection of Yorkshire goodies and the lovely little soaps in the bathroom are a thoughtful touch too. There are a range of lovely walks that you can do directly from the house and Gunnerside is a really good location for exploring Swaledale. There's also a community pub 5 minutes walk from the house. We've already booked our next stay at Ghyll View as it is just the perfect holiday get away for us.

The cottage was an absolute joy to stay at, so well equipped to a very high standard, immaculately clean and in a gorgeous location. We highly recommend it and plan to return ourselves as it s one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in many years of taking such holidays.
