The Arches Larklands is a beautifully decorated and furnished cottage, praised for its well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and cleanliness. Set in picturesque countryside on a working farm, guests enjoyed the proximity to local attractions and the friendly farm animals. Some noted the charm of farm life, including cockerels and farm dogs, while a few found these aspects less peaceful.
Guests consistently noted the property as 'spotlessly clean' and beautifully decorated, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the cottage.
The location is appreciated for its stunning countryside views and proximity to local sites, though one guest found the farm activities less peaceful than expected.
The comfort of the property is highly rated, with guests mentioning 'very comfortable' beds and a cosy yet spacious environment.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample amenities. However, a minor issue with insufficient cutlery for the number of guests and suggestions for a larger dining table indicate room for improvement.
While guests mentioned receiving eggs and field mushrooms, and the presence of farm animals added to the experience, there is not enough consistent information on thoughtful gestures such as gifts to accurately score this category.

The old market town of Richmond, England, sits on a hilltop to the north of the River Swale, marking the beginning of Swaledale. Nine centuries of activity are preserved in the city's cobblestone streets and winding wynds. The name Richmond comes from the French phrase for "strong hill" (Riche-mont), and the town grew up around the castle there, a Norman fortress built in 1071 and famously located high above the river. Enjoy parks, safe paddling places, and small waterfalls along the River Swale, or take in the sights and sounds of the Castle Walk, a magnificent terrace walk beneath the castle walls. From the town's cobbled Market Place (where a weekly market and a monthly farmers' market can be found), a network of winding lanes and alleyways lead to a wide variety of shops, taverns, and restaurants. A lot of the town's historic streets are lined with beautiful examples of Georgian architecture, a product of the town's prosperity in the 18th and 19th centuries. Many people travel to see performances at the Georgian Theatre because it is one of the oldest theatres in the country.

Since we were out of the way of shops it was lovely to see a nice big fridge and freezer.

High up on the hills of Yorkshire the views are wonderful and it is set in a small and peaceful village with great pub and fantastic farm shop close by. The barn itself was spacious and beautifully decorated throughout. It's high ceilings make it feel really special and the living room kitchen and dining area create a really sociable area - great to come home to after a long day out. The working farm next door gave us the opportunity to see hens scratching around and a new litter of kittens too! The owners were incredibly welcoming and were there for us if we needed them but in fact everything was so good we didn't need to message except to say what a great time we having!! This was our second time visiting Larklands and with the fresh new decor it was even nicer than the first time. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Kitchen was very well equipped and there is a plentiful supply of books, games, throws etc. Lovely setting on the farm with lambs, sheep, chickens and cats. The only thing we didnât like were the barking dogs which woke my mum up every night.
