The village is quiet and compact and if all the cottages are taken then parking close to your property is on a first come first serve basis, not ideal if walking is difficult. My only complaint is that if the adjoining property is occupied the sound proofing needs to be addressed. All in all, a charming location from which to visit the local market towns with beautiful views all round. Top marks

If you enjoy walking there's plenty to do in a week's break. We were lucky enough to be there during the Swaledale festival so saw a wonderful musical performance at the village church. A comfortable stay in a breath taking location.
