An attractive, stone-built, semi-detached Allerston cottage, on a working beef farm, in the village of Allerston between Scarborough and Pickering. This traditional, characterful Allerston cottage boasts beamed ceilings, exposed timbers and a spacious kitchen. Two staircases lead to the bedrooms in this Allerston cottage, which can be linked if necessary, whilst downstairs offers a generous living room with concertina doors opening to a games room with pool table, darts and an X Box with games. This Allerston cottage has a small, enclosed lawned garden and use of a football pitch, plus an unlimited entry pass for one car to Dalby Forest (no longer available after December 2025).

Set on the edge of the Forge Valley, the village of Allerston is within easy distance of Pickering, a bustling market town with a castle. Allerston is a picturesque village, with a stream running through on its way to the River Derwent. Allerston is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is made up of pretty stone cottages, and makes a wonderful holiday base. There is so much to do in the area, such as horse riding, a gold course, a childrens playground and Dalby Forest, which offers some wonderful walking and cycle routes. The coast is within a short drive, so head to the beaches of Scarborough and Whitby, or out onto the wonderful Moors; a great holiday base.

Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Very child friendly with stairgates, fire surround, high chair and cot. Immaculately clean and very, very well equipped we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Would love to return. Thank you

The property was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. There were nine of us plus two dogs, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and felt extremely Christmassy, which made our festive stay even more special. The games room was a fantastic addition and kept everyone entertained throughout the stay. We also loved the local eggs, they were amazing. The location is lovely, peaceful, and ideal for a relaxing break in North Yorkshire. Jeannie and Gary were amazing hosts: friendly, welcoming, and always there if you needed anything, while still giving us complete privacy. We couldnât fault our stay and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!
