An attractive, stone-built, semi-detached Allerston cottage, on a working beef farm, in the village of Allerston between Scarborough and Pickering. Two staircases lead to the bedrooms in this Allerston cottage, which can be linked if necessary, whilst downstairs offers a generous living room with concertina doors opening to a games room with pool table, darts and a PlayStation. This Allerston cottage has a small, enclosed lawned garden and use of a football pitch, plus an unlimited entry pass for one car to Dalby Forest. This well-equipped Allerston cottage offers simple, comfortable accommodation, and is a great base for the local area; enjoy Scarborough and Filey, explore beautiful countryside, or visit Dalby Forest, with an outdoor pursuit centre, biking trails for all abilities and great walking. Set on the edge of the Forge Valley, the village of Allerston is within easy distance of Pickering, a bustling market town with a castle. Allerston is a picturesque village, with a stream running through on its way to the River Derwent. Allerston is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is made up of pretty stone cottages, and makes a wonderful holiday base. There is so much to do in the area, such as horse riding, a gold course, a childrens playground and Dalby Forest, which offers some wonderful walking and cycle routes. The coast is within a short drive, so head to the beaches of Scarborough and Whitby, or out onto the wonderful Moors; a great holiday base.

The farm is very comfortable and clean, definitely a "home from home ". It is very well equipped and the beds were really comfy. The kids loved the playground especially the trampolines!! I would definitely book again as we enjoyed ourselves so much.

The kids enjoyed to games room and extra board games, the TV and IPads didnât get turned on once! we will definitely stay here again! Super friendly and helpful, even went to extra mile to post my daughters comfort blanket back home when we accidentally left it behind

Owners were very friendly. Cottage was fairly easy to find even on the first night in the dark! Was in a good location for us with lots to do. Had Xbox, pool table, darts, kids toys, games and an outside play area with trampolines, slides, swing etc. Location was really good for us. Really close to Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale. We all had a lovely time. This has been our favourite cottage so far.
