This beautiful cottage is situated on The Bay holiday village, just three miles from the seaside town of Filey, and is just the ticket for exploring the stunning Yorkshire coastline and beautiful surrounding countryside. Lilipad Cottage provides fabulous open plan living, yet is a cosy retreat whatever time of year you choose to visit. French doors lead to a private patio overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds. This idyllic coastal cottage is close to a wonderful Blue Flag beach and the golden sands here seem endless. The facilities at The Bay include an indoor swimming pool, children’s pool, sauna, steam room and gym, as well as a tennis court and archery range.
Lilipad Cottage is fully-equipped for producing gourmet meals, however within a stone's throw is a great pub and Italian restaurant serving meals. Ideally suited to families, friends or couples wanting to get away, the two bedrooms make this cottage a perfect choice. Filey is an unchanged Edwardian resort famed for its mile after mile of smooth sandy beach, its elegant and historic promenade, its famous Brigg and tasty fish and chips. The entire Yorkshire coastline provides some of the UK's most dramatic and rugged scenery. Whether you want to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the rock pool, create a sandcastle masterpiece, head up the coast to Whitby where you can climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey, no day will be the same.
Inland, the landscape offers a different experience but equally inspiring. The North York Moors provide some serious walking and cycling and now and again you will spot a plume of smoke as the steam railway chug-chugs its way through the tree lined valleys between the lovely market town of Pickering and the dramatic coastal town of Whitby. A wonderful holiday base all year round.
Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set affront the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of sand. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths, and ginnels.

It is in an excellent location for visiting the Yorkshire coast and Wolds. The Bay estate is a well maintained site and quiet and safe. Lilipad Cottage is in a good location on the estate in a very quiet area but within a few mins walk to the main complex and coastal path. The coastal towns of Filey and Bridlington are only a few minutes drive away. A great place to stay.

HOW can that happen. Then we had no heating, it was controlled by the owner leaving it cold most of the day. Being pensioners we did not feel it was not good enough, came home early.

Lillipad Cottage is well placed to explore the East Coast. It is comfortable and well appointed. All that you need.
