Resting in the rural village of Muston near Filey in North Yorkshire, this traditional, detached holiday home, Eric House, enjoys a crackling wood burning stove, which you can snuggle up besides with a hot chocolate and just a short drive away from a sandy beach; This home is ideal for a family of five looking for a blend of country and coast. Be greeted by a driveway where you can park up and step inside to discover the farm-style kitchen/diner, you can rustle up hearty meals courtesy of the oven and hob. When dinner is served, settle down at the dining table or if the weather is warm why not venture outside into the garden to dine alfresco? As the sky grows dark, retire inside and unwind on the sofa in the sitting room and flick through the Smart TV for a film night in and when eyes grow heavy, climb upstairs and indulge in a soothing soak in the bathroom or rinse your worries away in the overhead shower. Choose between three adorned bedrooms to rest your head, with a twin (zip/link king size on request), a double and a single bedroom. Awaken with a cup of tea in the snug room and open up a newspaper or a compelling novel before joining your loved ones at the dining table for breakfast. Ideally situated for exploring the Yorkshire Coast and Yorkshire Wolds, scenic drives will lead you to a number of great locations. The seaside resort of Filey, where you can soak in the coastal sights from Filey Beach, tee up at an expansive golf course, throw a blanket down to enjoy a picnic at Crescent Gardens or visit the animals at Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park. Head to the traditional seaside town of Scarborough, where you can stroll along the promenade with fresh fish and chips, marvel at marine creatures at SEA LIFE, or if that's not for you, unveil the past at Rotunda Museum or Scarborough Castle. Dalby Forest and Visitor Centre are great for walking and cycling and the ability to Go Ape in the treeline, and go to The North Yorkshire Moors Railway to experience life on board a steam train from various points between Pickering and Whitby. Find Boggle Hole, only a mile along the beach from the picturesque village of Robin Hood’s Bay nestled right on the high water line and Whitby, the birthplace of Dracula, across the North Yorkshire Moors. Filey is a classic British seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, ideal for walkers and wildlife watchers all year round. A real Yorkshire gem. With Filey Brigg and its shallow rockpools to the north, Filey is a resort town on the North East coast. Filey Brigg is a low headland that protects Filey Bay and offers year-round birding and seawatching. 250,000 seabirds spend the summer on the 400 ft Bempton Cliffs (rspb Reserve) south of Filey Bay. Nesting birds include gannets, kittiwakes, and razorbills. Gannets dive for fish in Filey Bay.

    Eric house is lovely we all enjoyed our stay there it was spotlessly clean we all slept well in the comfortable beds the kitchen was lovely had everything you needed and to sit in the conservatory and watch all the different birds was like home from home it is also very well situated for visiting resorts up and down the east coast so can highly recommend and hope to go back

    So many little touches that made our stay lovely, from gorgeous pans and loads of utensils in the kitchen, to lots of games, books, maps and videos, to night-lights on the stairs. Look past the slightly dated furniture and decor - it is the most comfortable place we have stayed!
