We love this stylish holiday home within a short walk of the beach and offering private parking. Dog friendly and with beautifully presented bedrooms and kitchen.. 1 step to entrance.

Swift is one of three newly built luxurious upside-down houses designed for four people, located in a quiet courtyard in the heart of Filey on the beautiful North Yorkshire Coast. Dog-friendly and offering private parking for one car, this charming property is just a three-minute walk from the beach.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a comfortable double bedroom, a twin room, and a stylish bathroom with a bath and shower overhead. Cottage stairs lead to the airy first-floor living space, featuring an open-plan design with vaulted ceilings, velux windows, and a patio door that opens to a Juliet balcony with a glass balustrade. The space includes a cosy seating area with a Smart TV, a dining area, and a modern shaker-style, well-equipped kitchen. There’s also a patio area with outdoor seating opposite the cottage, perfect for relaxing on warm days.
Swift is ideally located, just steps away from Filey’s charming town centre, where you’ll find a variety of eateries, cafés, pubs, and convenience stores. The nearby amusement arcades add a fun, seaside atmosphere, while the golden sands of Filey Bay and the long Victorian promenade invite you to enjoy leisurely strolls along the coast. Nature lovers can explore the stunning Filey Brigg and its towering cliffs, perfect for birdwatching and coastal walks. During summer months you will be able to spot Puffins and this coastline has a large seal colony.
A short drive takes you to the Flamborough Heritage Coast, known for puffin and seal watching, or to the rspb Bempton Cliffs, a haven for seabird enthusiasts. For inland adventures, the Yorkshire Wolds and North Yorkshire Moors offer breathtaking scenery with ample opportunities for walking and cycling. Dalby Forest is nearby, where you can try the thrilling Go Ape treetop adventure. For train lovers the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is an absolute must visit!

Lovely place to stay, excellent location within walking distance of everything you need, places to eat, takeaways, supermarkets etc. One or two small cleaning/maintenance issues, had to unblock the plug hole in the bath as water wasn’t draining when taking a shower. We pulled out almost a whole head of hair from the plug hole which was causing the problem. Few crumbs on the stairs and kitchen tops before we had eaten anything or prepared any food, so had to clean before using. The grill pan was still full of grease from previous guests so had to clean that too. Towels and bedding all lovely and clean as expected though. Overall, the Swift Courtyard Cottage was a nice place to stay in Filey, it’s a well appointed new build which is in a very convenient location and we would probably stay there again and recommend to others.
