Guests say

Heather Croft is a well-regarded cottage with stunning views, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and prime location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and biscuits. The garden and decking area are highlights, offering a serene setting and wildlife sightings. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning return visits.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous reviews mentioning it being 'spotlessly clean' and 'well kept'. There was a single mention of the kitchen not being very clean upon arrival, but the owner was quick to offer a remedy.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and proximity to local amenities, including pubs, shops, and the beach. The convenience of onsite parking and the ease of access to walking paths contribute to its near-perfect rating.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy furnishings and a homely feel. The spaciousness and roomy interior are appreciated, although there is a single mention of the heating arrangements not being very good, slightly lowering the score.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen facilities, games, and a garden. However, some reviews suggest a need for minor updates and maintenance, such as a new cooker and additional shower, which affects the score.

While guests mention thoughtful gestures like fresh flowers and a welcome pack of biscuits, there is not enough consistent information about gifts to provide a score. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

About this property

Lovingly refurbished, Heather Croft is a superb detached red brick property overlooking Robin Hood's Bay and within a 10 minute walk of the beach and harbour. The immaculate living accommodation is open plan giving the property a light and airy feel, whilst the full oil central heating ensures that the cottage is warm and welcoming in all seasons. A particular feature are the French doors from both kitchen and sitting room which lead onto a balcony/decking area with lovely views over open countryside to the coast beyond. The perfect place for a relaxing holiday on the Yorkshire Coast - a delightful property in a superb location!

The coastal village of Robin Hood's Bay is situated between Scarborough and Whitby on the Yorkshire coastline. It has narrow cobbled streets and charming fisherman's cottages all intertwined with the alleyways and fitted into the nooks and crannies of the village. The backdrop to this fishing village is stunning with dramatic cliffs and moorland scenery at the edge of a wide sweeping bay. The beach and cliffs offer some tremendous walks, and various footpaths and trails pass through the area, the Lyke Wake Walk and the Cleveland Way being two of the most popular. The amenities in the village are excellent, and there are attractions for all interests and ages. Robin Hood's Bay is a superb base for an enjoyable holiday in this fabulous area.

The cottage is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything that you need for your stay and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom were perfect for my mom who has restricted mobility. Thank you Karen for another great stay
