Escape to the coastal village of Robin Hood’s Bay with six of your loved ones and stay at this characterful seaside retreat. Light and airy throughout, with a warming wood burner, a lavish freestanding roll-top bath, and sloped beamed ceilings, it will be hard to tear yourself away from this cottage to explore the many sights of North Yorkshire.

Step inside this charming cottage which is adorned with seaside decorative items throughout and has a wonderful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Cuddle up in front of the wood burner in the pretty lounge space, watching films, playing games, or simply getting stuck into a good book. Cook up culinary delights in the compact but well-equipped kitchen and sit together around the dining table set in front of an exposed stone wall. When you are ready for some much-needed sleep, climb the stairs to the first floor which houses the master bedroom which has a king-size bed, and an en-suite shower room. A family bathroom is also situated on this floor which has a roll-top bath and walk-in shower room. The remaining two bedrooms are up on the second floor. One of these bedrooms has a king-size bed, and the other, twin beds.

Once a former smuggling village, Robin Hood’s Bay is set on clifftops overlooking the seaside. Head down the quaint little path (500 metres) leading down to the beach which is a hot spot for rock pooling. There are tonnes of walking routes that lead along the rugged coastline, such as the superb long-distance Cleveland Way National Trail. The historic town of Whitby is just 5.5 miles away, too, which has museums, eateries, and loads of independent shops.
