Starting with the positives, location is great for Scarborough and Whitby. Views from the property are beautiful. The property was clean and well equipped. Lovely kitchen and a BBQ outside for warmer weather with seating area. Not so great was the bed in the back bedroom, very uncomfortable. Sofas also uncomfortable and could do with being replaced. House was freezing when we arrived and whilst I understand the need to save oil and costs etc, it took ages to warm up once thermostat adjusted and there was no information about the heating provided, so took a while to find. I think a little better communication/info about the property for guests on arrival would be a good idea.

On entering the cottage it looked clean and tidy. However we noticed a few things need some attention. There was a smell of damp and on exploring the cottage we could see damp on the bedroom walls. In the kitchen we couldn't find any oven trays or table spoons. The livingrrom, there was no gloves to open the fire. The handle to open the door is very hot. The bathrooms were clean. Our only issue were the showers. The showers need more pressure. Trying to wash 3 girls with waist long hair with low pressure showers took abit of time. We were disappointed in regards that the rayburn has been removed from the kitchen. But it's listed on the cottage listing that there is one in the kitchen. I thought it a shame that the outbuildings weren't maintaned. It's a shame to let abit of history go unmaintained. We would stay here agian if these issues were addressed. We loved the cottage just hope some improvements are made so we can stay here agian. Because it's such a nice cottage.

We had an amazing Christmas break! House was beautiful! Well equipped was so many bowls, plates, pots and pans. Location was good! Was about 17/20 minute drive away from Scarborough and whitby. The only down side we had was the back bedroom mattress wasn’t very comfortable but other than that we had a fantastic holiday! Would definitely recommend!
