Guests consistently praise the welcoming hosts, the well-equipped kitchen, and the added bonus of a snooker room. The property is clean and comfortable, with plenty of space to unwind. While the remote location provides tranquillity, it does require a car for supplies. Occasional minor maintenance issues and steps throughout the house are noted, but overall, guests thoroughly enjoy their stays and many express a desire to return.

Most guests found the property very clean and well-kept, with only a few isolated comments about dog hair and minor missed items. The majority of reviews highlight cleanliness as a positive aspect.

The rural, secluded setting is highly praised for its tranquillity and stunning views. While some mention the remoteness and need for a car, most guests appreciate the peaceful location and proximity to Exmoor.

Guests frequently mention the spaciousness, comfortable beds, and suitability for large groups. Some note the presence of steps and changing levels, which may be challenging for those with mobility issues, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The farmhouse is well-equipped, with the snooker room being a standout feature. Some guests noted minor issues such as kitchen supplies, bathroom locks, and the dishwasher, but these appear to have been addressed by the hosts.

Many guests mention a warm welcome from the hosts and thoughtful touches such as homemade cake on arrival. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Withypool and the ancient Tarr Steps are both highlights on the moor. Climb to Exmoor’s highest point at Dunkery Beacon, then pop into the Dulverton for an afternoon cream tea. In Lynton and Lynmouth there is plenty to see and do, with the two towns being connected by the funicular cliff railway, or visit the Valley of the Rocks, with access to the Southwest Coast Path.

Head up to Woolacombe, Putborough, Croyde and Saunton for a seaside adventure, offering some of the best beaches in the country with surfing and rock pooling.
