"Charming cottages situated in a scenic holiday location, which form an ideal base from which to explore the stunning scenery of the North Yorkshire Coast..."
The six cottages at Killerby Old Hall are ideal for a countryside holiday whilst being less than 2 miles from the beach of Cayton Bay. The owners live on-site and guests can enjoy the countryside or relax in the indoor heated swimming pool. The accommodation ranges from the Dovecote sleeping 14 in period splendour, through to cosy Chestnut Cottage which sleeps 6. Set in a pretty courtyard, each cottage is different yet has its own sitting-out area with patio furniture and four of the cottages have private hot tubs.
Killerby Old Hall is situated between the coastal resorts of family friendly Filey, with its cobble landing and pretty promenade, and Scarborough, with its vibrant South Bay and naturally picturesque North Bay, located on part of Britain’s heritage coast. The Stephen Joseph Theatre, famed throughout the county, puts on a number of Alan Ayckbourn productions. To the north, across the stunning North Yorkshire Moors, lies the port of Whitby; famous for its connections to Captain James Cook and Dracula. Robin Hood’s Bay, a former fishing village with a smugglers past, has quaint streets which lead visitors to a small, sandy cove and rock pools. Heading inland, find the historic market town of Pickering, where the famous North Yorkshire Moors steam train begins its journey. Access Dalby Forest through the attractive village of Thornton-le-Dale and be sure to stop for an ice cream. The forest offers a range of activities including mountain bike tracks, or for those feeling adventurous there is Go Ape. It is also a popular picnic destination which is surrounded by walks that the whole family can enjoy. Travel a little further afield to Castle Howard with its stunning house and grounds. The ancient, Roman walled city of York sits just an hour up the A64, a famously haunted city with many attractions such as the railway museum, river trips and excellent shopping. To the south along the coast, the Cleveland Way leads to dramatic Flamborough Head and the Bempton rspb Sanctuary. The village of Cayton is a 500 yard stroll, with two local pubs, post office and shop. Full amenities are just over 4 miles away in Scarborough and fishing is available nearby. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 54 guests.

We had a lovely weekend and the kids loved the pool and hot tub. The only reason for the downgrade is the showers as there was poor pressure ( which I appreciate could just be the location) and only having 2 showers for potentially 12 people isn’t enough. Having said that we would certainly book again and the upgrades since we last visited in 2017 are brilliant.

We had a wonderful family break. The hot tub and swimming pool were great facilities. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment & crockery making our self catering easy. Location is great with North Yorkshire coastal resorts a short drive away

Just stayed for a lovely 3 night breakApril 25th-28th at Yards End House For Myself and 10 friends for my Hen Party. The house was very large with a great layout for a group of our size, Plenty of seating all over the house.Maybe a few extra things could be added to the kitchen for example a coffee machine ( bring your own pods) and an extra frying pan. The pantry door and the main upstairs bathroom door need some attention as they don’t close properly and the downstairs toilet needs a lock on it, apart from that it was perfect.Loved the private courtyard out the back with 2 picnic tables and a hot tub.The Nine Eighty bistro on the site served lovely meals that were very well priced and all of the staff at the restaurant and the reception were very friendly even the house cleaners.Great location for Scarborough and Filey and there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away that serves both resorts.I would definitely recommend staying at Killerby Old Hall Holiday Cottages & Caravan Park No matter what accommodation you decide to stay in it’s a lovely friendly place that caters for all ages and is great value for money
