Guests say

Flanders Hall is a historic and spacious property set in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, ideal for large groups and family gatherings. Guests have praised its extensive grounds, cosy Aga-equipped kitchen, and the abundance of indoor entertainment options. The property exudes charm and character, with comfortable bedding and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It serves as a perfect base for exploring the local area and enjoying the countryside.

Most guests found Flanders Hall to be clean with comfortable beds and high-quality bedding. However, a few mentioned the presence of cobwebs and dead spiders, suggesting that while generally good, the cleanliness could be improved, especially in less frequented areas.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and convenience, with easy access to local attractions, walks directly from the property, and a tranquil setting in the Yorkshire Dales. The proximity to villages, waterfalls, and historical sites adds to its appeal.

Guests have reported the property to be very comfortable, with cosy fires, an Aga that keeps the kitchen warm, and comfortable beds. Some guests mentioned the beds were a tad hard, and one noted the presence of flies in a bedroom, but overall the comfort level is high.

The facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen, ample parking, and entertainment options. Criticisms include a desire for more showers and modern conveniences, and some minor maintenance issues. The unique features like the grand piano and extensive library are appreciated.

While the reviews reflect a thoughtful provision of amenities and local information, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness in this regard. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

    Even better than described.

A rustic feel to the place which was great with the aga and open fire. One shower between 10 of required a rota :-). Having paid nearly £1800 for 2 nights we felt it was a bit tight asking us to pay 60p for each log we burnt.
