The double-bedroom on the second floor is additionally accessed by open tread stairs for further convenience. There are excellent local amenities within a short walk from this lovely cottage, including a good butcher's, a local pub, a tea-room and a village shop. The picturesque fishing village of Runswick Bay is just one mile away and offers a sandy cove with opportunities for fossilling and rock pooling, always a big hit with the children!

Take a bracing cliff-top walk on the Cleveland Way with superb coastal views, or explore the nearby seaside town of Whitby, steeped in history, with its narrow, cobbled streets, interesting shops and famous abbey. On the edge of the North York Moors, this bright and homely cottage of Pebble Cottage makes an ideal base for walking, touring or simply visiting the pretty coastal towns and villages.

Hinderwell is a tiny but busy rural village with shops and bars near the lovely seaside communities of Staithes and Runswick Bay, as well as being only 9 miles from Whitby's attractive port town. Hinderwell is in a fantastic location for exploring the local countryside, which includes everything from the spectacular cliffs and smugglers' coves of the coast to the deep, quiet dales of the North York Moors National Park. Walking, cycling, gliding, horseback riding, and fishing are all available in the vicinity, making it ideal for a relaxed getaway.
