We were not satisfied by the cleanliness off the lodge. After travelling 3 hours, we went out and bought cleaning supplies and then scrubbed the areas we would use. The floors also needed vacuuming as there were crumbs left from the last stay. Fortunately we brought our own bedding, because the bedding provided could do with updating and the thought of the unclean surfaces put us off sleeping in the bed. The lodge its self is ideal but again general maintenance was lacking. Metal floor skirting was hanging off the French doors which we tripped up upon entry and exit. Plug faces were not securely attached to the wall. The outside decking area could’ve done with a sweep. It was also very slippy due to a leak in the hot tub which we discovered after lifting the lid to get in on the last evening . The windows could also do with a clean, especially on the French doors. We did experience flies in the lodge too, maybe fly screens would help? Overall, dissatisfied, and won’t be returning.
