Perfect location for a big family Christmas.The house is the best equipped holiday rental I have ever stayed at, Liz and Rob had stocked the house with all the things you might need and the kitchen had more utensils, pans etc so that we could cook a massive Christmas dinner for 8 people.The hot tub is a lovely extra, perfect for relaxing under the stars in the evening.Beds were clean and comfortable, all slept really well, and there's enough bathrooms that nobody had to fight to use a toilet or have a shower.Would recommend bringing a pair of slippers, as the downstairs stone floors can get very cold (aside from the underfloor heating in the kitchen which is super cosy), although if you get cold at all, there's plenty of big, fluffy blankets to snuggle under on the sofas.Would very gladly come back to stay at Monkroyd House again, thank you very much to Liz & Rob for being excellent hosts.

We were five adults, one toddler and three babies, from London, the Lake and Australia! This house was absolutely perfect for a three night relaxing break. It was clear the house has been done to a high standard and there were loads of thoughtful little touches to make the stay stres free! The location was private, very quiet and just a few minutes drive from the town for supplies. All the rooms upstairs and down are so spacious, and the hot tub after the kids were in bed was the cherry on the cake! Thanks again!
