Surrounded by peaceful countryside, yet just 5 miles from the bustling city of York, Murton Grange is perfectly located to enjoy the best of both worlds. The traditional farmhouse and eight cottages are comfortably furnished and ideal for large group bookings (including hen and stag parties). Five of the properties include a private hot tub and guests are requested to bring their own towels for use with the hot tub.
There are walking trails from the doorstep and easy access into the city centre. York offers all year round appeal, with world-renowned attractions including the iconic minster, Castle Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre. There is a busy racecourse at the Knavesmire and regular festivals and Christmas markets. Enjoy a riverboat trip, join a ghost walk or take a stroll around the city walls. An abundance of inns, restaurants and traditional teashops can be found in the city centre which is packed with interesting and individual shops, and the Designer Outlet, Vangarde and Monks Cross provide excellent out of town shopping.
Murton Grange provides an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area where there are stately homes at Castle Howard, Beningbrough Hall and Sledmere House. Quaint market towns at Malton, Helmsley and Pickering and the famous steam train which travels through the stunning scenery of the North York Moors. The coastal towns of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby are all within an hour’s drive. Shop 3½ miles, pub and restaurant 2¼ miles.
The Farmhouse (UKC3177) and Cottage 4 (UKC3181) can be booked together to accommodate up to 24 guests.

I had booked cottage 3 on this site which was disabled accessible with wet room for my client in a wheelchair Two days before leaving we were told the accessing not available after we had booked and paid and needed that cottage 3 specifically for my clientNo explanation why we were offered cottage 5 which was not accessible with no wet room It was very difficult for my client especially when needed loo and shower As it was not the wet room I wanted with handrails shower chair etc The beds very hard and uncomfortable Toilet seat broken I did ring owners they came out to sort it but it was still loose very unsafe for my client especiallyDining room chairs very flimsy and wobbly scared to sit on them Sofas no cushions or soft furnishings very uncomfortable All looks good in photos but not a comfy cottage I would not not recommend Especially when we did not get accommodation that we paid for and expected my client to manage in a non accessible cottage and bring told two days before leaving Very very disappointed Not enjoyable at all
