We stayed 4 new years so it wasnt cheap. (Which we were fine with that) entering the lodge it was freezing. We had 2 ring 2 get the heating put on. The carpet had been cleaned so it was wet all the way through. Had wet carpet for a couple of days which wasnt gud leaving a horrible smell. The pots had not been cleaned properly. Everything we used we had to wash be4 using. Still had stuff on them. Considering it was meant to of been cleaned there were skittles on the floor, chewing gum on the floor which my dog got hold of (managed 2 get it out his mouth thank god), when we pulled the sofa bed out to relax there were empty juice bottles under there. There were mouldy old coffee pods still left in the coffee machine which looked like they had been there a while. (This isn't gud enough when we paid what we paid to stay here). The roof over the hot tub was broken so they had a sheet up of some kind. It was windy- it was only fixed down with tape-was expecting it to blow away. the wind under the sheet- the noise was unbearable we cudnt sit in it for very long. God knows if it had come down with heavy rain. It said it was a dog friendly lodge. I wudnt say dog friendly as he only had the small amount of decking. The garden/grass area cud of done with being fenced off. You have 2 take your dogs off site to walk them which is fine but a dog bin wudnt go a miss considering most people there had dogs. Wudnt say its a dog friendly place. Not sure what other people got in there welcome packs but we just got a small milk left in the fridge. An information pack would of been helping to tell u where ya supermarkets were, places u recommend to eat at, walks, places to visit etc etc. Would I go back. NO. I have stayed in a lot better for less money. Make sure as well u check the key safe number as the number we got given in the text message we received wasnt correct. The kitchen is stocked up with lots of equipment, it just wasnt clean. Get decent cleaners in please. Take an extra towel as the towels r tiny.

The lodge was lovely and clean and well equipped, but the only fault was it was so cold and the heating is on a schedule and it is locked in a clear case, which I had to contact the owner as the lodge was freezing, he advised me it was coming on soon I had to txt him again after 45 minutes later as we still had no heating coming on, that is when he put the heating on, not good as we had a 2 year old with us, also the canopy for the hot tub had broken, they emailed me on the day we arrived to make us aware of this issue, as it rained most of the time we was there, we would get soaked When using the hot tub from the rain, the cover was made out of green plastic sheets and the noise coming from the shelter that was made, was so loud when the wind was bad banging against the plastic sheets
