The lodge was lovely and clean and well equipped, but the only fault was it was so cold and the heating is on a schedule and it is locked in a clear case, which I had to contact the owner as the lodge was freezing, he advised me it was coming on soon I had to txt him again after 45 minutes later as we still had no heating coming on, that is when he put the heating on, not good as we had a 2 year old with us, also the canopy for the hot tub had broken, they emailed me on the day we arrived to make us aware of this issue, as it rained most of the time we was there, we would get soaked When using the hot tub from the rain, the cover was made out of green plastic sheets and the noise coming from the shelter that was made, was so loud when the wind was bad banging against the plastic sheets

Lodge is beautiful we stayed for two nights. Very quiet. York is around 25 minute drive away which was fine for us Only complaint was that the lodge was really cold and we could not turn the heating on ourselves as the thermostat was locked away. We all was really cold during the night and when paying for a property I think you should be allowed to use the heating whenever you want But it was lovely
