We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts. Their attention to detail was impeccable. It was a superb location as convenient for the Village and local bus routes. I would thoroughly recommend River View for anyone wishing for a base to visit York and surrounding area.

Itâs also generously supplied with all those holiday essentials that usually require a swift visit to the local convenience store on arrival - no need here with such an overflowing welcome pack! The house is in the heart of the village with local bakery, a supermarket and local restaurants within a hundred yards. There is a local pub next door but this is very well behaved and didnât cause us problems, and our nights were peaceful and quiet. There is a beautiful patio garden too, with comfortable outdoor dining furniture. Bus service into York runs from the village, so the car can stay behind in the ample parking area. All this and a perfect weekâs summer weather too!

We had everything we needed but there were so many extra touches that demonstrated the thought and effort that hosts, Graham and Jane, put into make their guests feel extremely welcome. Thank you both, we will be back.
