The cottage was clean and equipped with sundries in the kitchen and hand-wash in the bathroom. The bedding and towels were clean.I am afraid the cottage did not meet up to the standard of many others I had stayed in. Overall the whole place needs updating, particularly the kit hen flooring which was loose and could become a trip hazard. The fridge was also constantly frozen freezing salad and vegetable. This needs to be replaced. The carpets throughout could do with shampooing.Very disappointing that the central heating was on a timer and only on for a limited time morning and evening. There was no means of changing this. I found this completely unacceptable in a holiday let in mid March. We were cold during the day.So overall clean and little touches with the soap, washing up liquid. Dishwasher tablets and kitchen cleaner. Also milk, bread and butter left were appreciated. But the property is let down by the maintenance of the interior and kitchen, shower and bathroom all of which need updating. We will not stay again or recommend to our family and friends.

Perfect location for exploring York, 5 minute drive to Park & Ride and all the shops you could need. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation with everything you could need. Couldn't fault it.

A brilliant location for exploring York. The accommodation is quaint and comfy, though in places starting to look tired. All kitchen equipment you would use is supplied. The extra finishing touches like bread, butter and milk were a lovely added bonus. The hot tub was superb.
