Flooded with natural light from a large picture window and French doors that lead out on to a small balcony where you can enjoy an early morning coffee or watch the night draw in with a glass or two of wine; this room is sure to delight.
The sleek, modern kitchen with large central island and breakfast bar offers an array of top of the range kitchen accessories including a wine cooler; it’s a delightful area from which to prepare a delicious meal or two.The dining table is well placed in front of the window and offers plenty of seating for seven whilst the sitting area provides a large deep filled L shaped sofa and chairs that face a large qled smart TV – just perfect to relax and unwind after a day exploring the ancient streets of York. To one side hidden in a discreet cupboard you will find a washer/dryer for your convenience.

Step outside into the vibrant community of The Groves, a much loved and popular area of York. Here you will find an assortment of shops, restaurants and takeaways as well as a choice of local pubs. A short stroll leads you through Monk Bar into the city centre with its abundance of historic sights. Discover the snickleways and alleyways of the medieval city that wind between York’s ancient cobbled streets which include the famous Shambles. Visit the Castle Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, National Railway Museum and spectacular Minster or simply watch the world go by from one of the numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. There is excellent shopping to be had in York city centre or visit the Designer Outlet or Monks Cross Shopping Park.
The Loft at St John’s also provides an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area with Castle Howard, Flamingo Land, Rievaulx and Fountains Abbey plus the Moors, Dales and Heritage Coastline all within easy reach.

The Loft was a very comfortable home from home, with a well equipped kitchen, and the added touches (christmas tree, gifts) were a lovely thought. An excellent location for easy exploration of everything that the beautiful city of York has to offer and a clearly marked private parking space. What's not to like! One small gripe : the wine opener was difficult to use and needs to be replaced.
