The Nest is a clever conversion above the garaging for the main house, which is home to the helpful owner. The Nest is directly opposite The Knavesmire which is home to the famous York Races, and with no need for a car this property makes the perfect place to stay for those interested in all things racing. The historic city centre is less than a mile away and with great bus links and cycle paths The Nest is ideally located.
This first floor apartment has been refurbished in 2018, and offers comfortable, modern accommodation with guests comfort in mind and yet retains a homely feel. The communal patio area benefits from the late afternoon sun and is the perfect location to relax and unwind after a day exploring York and its many attractions. The double and twin bedrooms are flooded with light from Velux windows and offer the flexibility of a family holiday or friends wishing to enjoy York races and the vibrant night life on offer in the city centre. The main living space is open plan and provides a great social space to gather. The kitchen is equipped with all the accessories needed to cook for family and friends.
York has so much to offer from shopping to visiting the world famous York Minster and Jorvic Centre, and with two theatres to choose from and Snickleways to explore, not to mention a festival and events programme that runs through the year, a visit to The Nest is an absolute must. This property has great links to the main cycle routes in and around York and offers bike storage. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

The Nest is a welcoming base from which to explore York. Set back from the main road down a private drive, the setting is peaceful, yet access to the city via plentiful bus routes is easy. The property is well-furnished and equipped and is an ideal location for a short city stay.

The Nest was easy to find, parking available, very close to bus stop with excellent service into the city. The host was very helpful when we had a problem with our car, recommending garages for us. The beds were comfortable and all amenities provided.
