The Old Bike Store in York receives glowing feedback for its excellent location within walking distance of the city centre, private parking, and dog-friendly features. Guests consistently praise the high standard of cleanliness, comfortable beds, and well-equipped accommodation. The property is described as modern, cosy, and ideal for families or couples. Minor suggestions include the addition of more kitchen items and improved ventilation in one bedroom, but these do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience. The hosts are noted as friendly and communicative, making this a highly recommended choice for a York stay.
Cleanliness is repeatedly highlighted, with guests describing the property as immaculate, exceptionally clean, and well presented. Only one review mentioned a minor issue with kitchen items, but no concerns about cleanliness itself.
The location is universally praised, with guests loving the short walk to York city centre, proximity to shops and parks, and the convenience of private parking. The only minor note is that the property is on a busy road, but this did not affect guests' enjoyment.
Guests frequently mention the comfort of the beds, the warmth of the property, and the overall cosy atmosphere. One review noted a stuffy downstairs bedroom due to sealed windows, but this was an isolated concern.
Facilities are highly rated, with guests appreciating the well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, and enclosed courtyard. Suggestions for improvement include more dinner plates, a full-length mirror, and better ventilation in one bedroom, but these are minor compared to the positive feedback.
Several guests appreciated the provision of tea and coffee and clear pre-arrival communication. However, as gifts or welcome packs are not consistently mentioned, these cannot be guaranteed for all stays.

The Old Bike Store was superb. Extremely clean, great location and the beds were luxurious! We had the best sleep ever! 18 minute walk to city centre and there was a Co-op 2minutes walk for necessities. Private parking was perfect and we rarely used the car. I would highly recommend it.

We had an excellent stay at the Old Bike Shed. Everything we needed as available, it was clean and instructions were clear. We would stay again.
