About this property

The property Annie’s Farm Cottage is a warm and welcoming countryside retreat, tucked away in peaceful rural surroundings near the city of Derry/Londonderry, offering a relaxed base for families or friends keen to slow the pace and explore Northern Ireland’s dramatic landscapes. Pet-friendly and full of character, this is the sort of place that suits

long walks, unhurried meals, and evenings spent properly switching off. Step inside and you’re greeted by a comfortable living and dining space where a woodburning stove becomes the natural focal point after a day outdoors. It’s an easy room to settle into, whether you’re sharing stories over

dinner or stretching out with a book as the fire crackles away.

The kitchen is well laid out and practical, with everything needed for home cooking, from simple breakfasts to proper sit-down suppers, making it easy to treat the cottage like a true home-from-home. Sleeping arrangements are flexible and well thought out. Two generous king-size bedrooms share Jack-and-Jill access to the main bathroom, making them ideal for couples or parents, while the bunk bedroom is perfect for children or additional guests. A second shower room adds extra convenience, particularly for larger groups getting ready to head out for the day. Outside, the private, enclosed garden is a real bonus. It’s a quiet spot for morning coffee, an evening drink by the fire pit, or letting dogs stretch their legs while you take in the calm of the surrounding countryside. The standout feature is the bubbling hot tub, an exceptional addition for relaxing and letting go of the day’s stresses. Off-road parking keeps things straightforward, whether you’re arriving with bags, bikes, or walking boots. From here, you’re well placed to explore, with its central location to the starting points of both the Causeway Coastal Route in Derry/Londonderry (7 miles) and The Wild Atlantic Way in Muff Co Donegal (14 miles).

The rugged beauty of both coastal routes is easily reached by car, with its clifftop paths, beaches, and iconic landmarks.

Day trips to places like Ballintoy Harbour, Malin Head (Irelands most northerly point), Giants Causeway and Benone Beach offer everything from wild coastal scenery to lively towns and villages with cafés and local shops. Closer to home, scenic country roads and peaceful walks make it easy to enjoy the landscape at your own pace. The Ness Woods Country Park is either a 2min car drive or 10min walk away, which boasts the highest waterfall in Northern Ireland, a child’s play park and up to 26km of interconnecting walking routes across several woodlands straddling the Burntollet and Faughan rivers.

Annie’s Farm Cottage offers a restful, characterful base for discovering this striking part of Northern Ireland, blending rural calm with the freedom to explore far and wide.
