This immaculately furnished four-bedroom, self-contained double upper flat forms part of a traditional, south facing Victorian manse in the picturesque village of Ballater in the heart of Royal Deeside. It has been refurbished to a very high standard by combining contemporary and period features. The stylish and elegant furnishings create a relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere which is perfect for a special break away with family or friends.
The property is spacious with two bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms (both en-suite) on the second floor.
The semi-open plan kitchen, dining, and living room with an open fire provides a wonderful environment for dining and relaxing. If you prefer to eat out, the many good restaurants and cafés in the village are but a short walk away.
Ballater is in the Cairngorms National Park which has stunning scenery and wildlife. The many outdoor activities in the area which can be enjoyed all year include hillwalking, wildlife watching, golfing, cycling, fishing, pony trekking and sightseeing. In winter the ski resorts at the Lecht and Glenshee ski resorts can be easily reached by car and provide ample opportunities to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and sledging.Popular local attractions include Balmoral Castle (seasonal tours), Crathie Church, the Royal Lochnagar Distillery, Loch Muick and Lochnagar, Deeside Activity Park, Loch Kinord and Burn O’Vat, Glen Tanar, and Braemar (location of the famous Braemar Gathering in September).

We had a great stay in this lovely apartment. The kitchen was well-equipped and the seating and dining areas were very comfortable and spacious. One of the bedrooms was quite small but okay and the bathroom on the first floor could do with a shower. It would have been lovely to have some outdoor space especially as the weather was so warm. One thing that was annoying was the neighbours downstairs who banged on the ceiling when we simply got off from the sofa to the kitchen. They did this about 3-4 times during our stay and it was pretty unreasonable. Maybe greater soundproofing or thicker rugs or carpets are required for the wooden floors. Apart from that, a very nice place to stay. Ballater is a lovely wee village with great places to eat shops and wonderful walks.

Another lovely stay in Ballater . The house has everything we need for a very comfortable stay. Very good location in the heart of Ballater. This is our second time staying and we are looking forward to coming back again !
