. Bayview is a charming traditional seaside cottage occupying a prime position in the picture postcard village of Collieston. Originally two fisherman’s cottages; Bayview has been sympathetically converted and extended and now provides a high standard of accommodation in a superb setting. Situated in a quiet no through lane in an elevated position above the harbour, it looks down onto the pretty horse shoe shaped sandy beach and harbour.
All rooms enjoy fantastic sea views. The pretty lounge has a welcoming open fireplace and modern sofas. The conservatory at the far end of the cottage has large windows that maximise the views; an ideal venue to spot the passing sea life; porpoises, dolphins and seals are frequently seen close to shore. There is a bright, modern kitchen/dining room. Upstairs are two beautifully presented double bedrooms and a modern family bathroom. The gardens consist of small lawn terraces let into the adjoining slopes that lead down to the sea, via a series of meandering paths.

Fantastic cottage tucked away in a quiet former fishing village. Stunning views and very near a seal beach. The cottage was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The owners were fantastic with great communication and thoughtful touches around the cottage. Good amenities in Ellon (10min drive). Would highly recommend!

This cottage offers everything and more. The hosts really have thought of everything. All you need are your clothes and toothbrush. If you are brave enough some swimming gear for a swim in the sea. The cottage has amazing views, it is cosy, clean and the beds are so comfy. This cottage has definitely set the bar high. Thank you for allowing us to stay and we will definitely be back!

Bayview is an excellent holiday cottage. The furnishings were modern and comfortable, much better than we expected from the photographs. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of room to store the food we brought in cupboards and the adjoining utility shelving.The weather was mixed with some strong winds, but we were pleasantly surprised at how well the cottage retained its heat from a heating boost in the mornings.We tailored out activities to the weather and were able to visit lots of castles within a 30 mile radius using our National Trust, English Heritage and Historic Houses membership cards. Aberdeen was easy to drive into. We parked at a retail park on the seafront and were able to follow an AA walking tour of Aberdeen which took in the harbour, old town and the free Maritime Museum. Another excellent museum was the Kinnaird Castle Lighthouse in Fraserburgh, we did the tour of the lighthouse too which we would highly recommend.
