Guests say

Nantusi Cottage is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and friendly hosts. Guests appreciate the secure garden for pets, the peaceful surroundings, and the property's proximity to local attractions. While most experiences are positive, a few guests mention issues with Wi-Fi and maintenance.

The majority of guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, with only one review mentioning cleanliness issues. This suggests that the property is generally well-maintained, although there may be occasional oversights.

The location is frequently described as peaceful and well-situated for accessing nearby towns, coast, and countryside. The secure garden and wildlife sightings add to the appeal, indicating a highly satisfactory location.

Guests consistently mention the comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of the property. The secure garden for pets and the overall cosiness contribute to a comfortable stay, despite a single review citing cramped conditions.

Facilities are generally appreciated, with special mentions of the welcome pack and enclosed gardens. However, several reviews bring up the lack of Wi-Fi in the cottage itself and issues with the pool availability, suggesting room for improvement in this category.

While some guests mention a welcome pack and gifts, the reviews do not provide enough consistent detail to accurately assess the thoughtfulness of the hosts across all stays. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such amenities will be provided to future guests.

About this property

Kirriemuir 7 miles. A charming cottage in the hamlet of East Murthill, with a spacious open plan living area Enjoy superb walking and cycling. A superb base from which to explore this beautiful area. This cottage can be booked with Ref. 1904 to accommodate 12 people.

Situated in the valley of Strathmore and regarded as the gateway to the Angus Glens, Kirriemuir is a lovely red sandstone town amidst some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscapes. This stunning settlement was the birthplace of the renowned novelist JM Barrie, best known for his children's character Peter Pan who was the subject of the film 'Finding Neverland'. His house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust for Scotland and a statue of 'the boy who never grew up' can be found in the town itself. Kirriemuir also hosts an Aviation Museum and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle as well as hill-walking in the Angus Glens.

Kitchen was well kitted out and beds were comfortable. Shower was quite small and distance to pub/restaurant not within walking distance. We had lovely weather and thoroughly enjoyed Kirriemuir, Forfar and Brechin golf courses which were close by. Avoid routes which involve turning right onto A90!

Such a lovely setting and lovely accommodation. Brilliant layout of the property and surrounding area and great access to where we needed to go. We found the owners extremely helpful and always accessible if we needed them. Will definitely visit again in the future.

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything you might need. Located in a very quiet area with easy parking, close to main roads and the town of Forfar for any daily shopping you might need. Host is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Location is great for exploring most of Scotland by car, and there are a lot of interesting places to see nearby too - Glamis castle, Scone palace and Perth museum to name a few. We would book it again without hesitation! Look for the gate with the stone pillars with little rabbits on top on arrival and enjoy your stay!
