Our second visit and this was as good as tge first. Ideal for multi-generational visit. We were very comfy in the granny annex and grandchildren loved the movie room! Many walks to the beach, beach cricket and pizza at the beach on Friday. House well equipped with all we needed. Enjoyed watching the birds and lors to do nearby.

When we arrived we found the accommodation was unsafe, unhygienic, and had a lack of a basic cleanliness standard. The accommodation did not meet the standards promised at the time of booking. In particular, the cottage was dirty, had an unpleasant smell, and was unsafe because of broken glass. On entering the property, it was immediately apparent that it did not match the photographs shown on the cottages.com website at the time of booking. We refused to stay, cottages.com and the owners are refusing to refund or to use the ABTA Alternative Dispute Resolution. Would not recommend this company or Straton Cottage.
