Just returned from a weeks stay at Hilbre, this is the best accommodation we have stayed in. The cottage has absolutely everything you need and finished to a high spec. The setting is just breathtaking with views of the loch, the little side extension os a relaxing space with binoculars and telescope. A bird watchers dream with birds in the garden at all times of the day. The hot tub sits on a raised decking with antislip matting, handrail and ambient lighting.A short walk to the loch where you can walk to the local pub in 20 mins along the loch if the tide is out or along the main road. The owner shared exact location and directions and useful information.Highly recommend a stay here!

Absolutely beautiful home in beautiful surroundings. The views of the loch are incredible - It’s a great base for exploring. The house was immaculate. My husband and I chose to stay in the twin room at the back of the house as it is darker in here and has the en suite …and we are too used to a king size bed at home! (Front rooms are double beds). I also liked that the twin room had hard flooring for cleaning and having dogs with us (front rooms are carpeted). So this room suited us better.Loads of cleaning products available (kitchen had dishwasher tabs, washing machine tabs, scourers and cloths, plenty hand towels, cleaning spray, even fragranced plug ins). I always take my own cleaning supplies to holiday homes but the only thing I really needed was tin foil. Great washing machine & tumble drier available. There is a twin drawer Ninja air fryer and I took some of my own liners for this. There is also a coffee pod machine, American fridge/freezer with ice machine at front, and all the usual amenities. The hot tub was perfect and the indoor jacuzzi bath is a double sized bath and is equally as good. The recliner couch is wonderful and comfy. The garden is not secure/fenced at the front. This was not an issue for us as our dogs walk off-lead and are very well behaved, but just a note for others travelling with their doggos. There is a shop/cafe a few minutes away and a garage nearby that sell groceries and some lovely local farm produce. I would absolutely stay in Hilbre again as it was clean, comfortable, relaxing and finished beautifully inside and out. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The location is breathtaking with lots to do within a reasonable travelling distance. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub is perfect for relaxing with a view of the loch and mountains. My only tiny comment would be to get a blackout blind for the front bedrooms (not that you want to cover up the amazing view)
