Situated on the shores of the River Clyde with views to Port Glasgow, Greenock and beyond, this enchanting holiday cottage offers an ideal base to explore the beauty of Argyll and Bute including Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Adjoining the owner’s home, the property has been tastefully furnished and has mature sunken gardens with pond and lawns to the rear. This Victorian town has many local amenities. The new leisure centre (2023) is within half a mile and offers a swimming pool, gyms, a steam room and hot room as well as a wellness centre. Enjoy watersports on Loch Lomond, golf, walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing locally. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling all within easy reach. Shop and pub 1/2 mile.

Tarandoun is a beautiful cottage. It is in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the Clyde. The cottage is well equipped, including good quality bedding, towels and mats (even flannels are provided).The owners are very helpful and friendly and have the most adorable spaniel dog who loves to play fetch with his ball. A wonderful place to stay.

My family and I enjoyed a lovely week staying at Tarandoun Cottage which is well located and a great base for visiting Loch Lomond and the surrounding area as well as Glasgow and further north up to Oban and the West Coast of Scotland. Very quiet with beautiful views out over Gare Loch and the River Clyde and just a short walk into Helensburgh. The cottage is well equipped with plenty of space for 4 guests. Would definitely recommend it as a great place to stay when visiting Western Scotland.
