The previous owner of Clachries fed them with the help of the Cats Protection and the owners have carried on with this arrangement as they are too old to be relocated.
They are fed once a day and the owners will do this or alternatively, they are happy to leave the food for you to feed them.

Your standard soulless holiday let, this is not! Clachries Cottage sits in a small hamlet just off the main road. Its location would have Kirsty & Phil salivating. Just a short walk through the woods by the river and you’re on the spectacular beach at Sandyhills. It was so lovely being able to open the door and let our dog out. You’re also perfectly placed to explore Dumfries and Galloway The cottage has been thoughtfully renovated without losing any of its charm and has a warm and cosy feel, including a very nice log burning stove. It felt more like house sitting for a friend than a holiday let, with the optional responsibility to feed the cats. Who incidentally do not come into the house. It was immaculately clean, well equipped and then some! With airy, comfortable bedrooms and a modern bathroom. We had a couple of enquires and our hosts Rebecca and Phil were responsive and helpful. There was a lovely welcome pack of local goodies including milk for your first cuppa. We loved it and would happily return.
