Stayed at Kenmure Kennels for a family get together week. We were 14 all together 8 adults and 6 grandchildren of various ages. Last summer we visited the area looking for a suitable property and found this house which suited our number. The house was pretty well perfect. Very well equipped with everything we needed for our holiday. Beautifully decorated with attention to detail, especially in the bedrooms which were very comfortable and colour coordinated with high quality linen and towels. The only complaint being the duvets were too warm for the time of year, summer weight would have been more comfortable! Kenmure Kennels is secluded, away from the road so safe for children, but with easy access to the village nearby. There are lovely walks from the garden and a castle historically connected to the house very nearby. The village of New Galloway is about half a mile away with a well stocked community shop plus cafe and pub ( we only used the shop ). Loch Ken is very accessible with a sports centre less than ten minutes by car. The family used their paddle boards on the loch several times as fortunately the weather was perfect during our stay. Because we enjoyed good weather and spent a fair amount of time in the garden playing games, relaxing and admiring the wonderful views we would suggest upgrading the outdoor furniture as the wooden chairs are extremely heavy and only seated a limited number. The extra chairs available in the garage are ancient and rusty! A barbecue would be good ( we brought our own and left it for other users). The booking process was easy with Discover Scotland and Mrs Case the manager was very helpful. We would certainly recommend Kenmure Kennels for a family holiday or getaway with friends, pretty well perfect
