On road parking. No smoking.. Situated in the harbour village of Port William, this cottage has an open plan living space which is on the first floor, and the two bedrooms and a family bathroom are on the ground floor. Port William, known as the ‘Machars of Galloway’ has been presented with the ‘Pride of Galloway’ award, and the area is renowned for its stunning coastline with sandy beaches, rugged shingle beaches, rocky coves and windswept cliffs.
The Southern Scottish regions boast an exceptional number of activities, from spending a quiet afternoon with a rod and reel beside one of the area’s many excellent rivers, or pushing yourself to the limit along a challenging 7stanes cycle track. Horse riding, golf, sailing, diving and numerous walks are available in the area, and with its famously mild climate and the balmy influence of the Gulf Stream, Galloway is home to some of the most beautiful and exotic gardens. Beach 20 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub 10 miles and restaurant 8 miles.

Brilliant views and cosy warm.Spectacular views from the lounge, with all kinds of weather to enjoy.Otters in the area along with loads of other wildlife.Make use of the Lifeboat station bar/diner/shop..very warm welcome and good food.Also visited the Harbour Inn.Highly recommended.

We had a great autumn week at Killantrae Burn Cottage. After active days walking and cycling in the area we were back at the most beautiful view from the cottage. The cottage was warm and welcoming. It had everything you needed in a self catering cottage. The welcome wine and cake was a lovely surprise. There are sandy beaches walking distance. But lots of places to visit by car. Wigtown has great cafes (dog friendly) and the Harbour Inn in Garlieston offers great food. We had a very relaxing break staying at the cottage and would definitely be back again.
