On road parking. No smoking.. Situated in the harbour village of Port William, this cottage has an open plan living space which is on the first floor, and the two bedrooms and a family bathroom are on the ground floor. Port William, known as the ‘Machars of Galloway’ has been presented with the ‘Pride of Galloway’ award, and the area is renowned for its stunning coastline with sandy beaches, rugged shingle beaches, rocky coves and windswept cliffs.
The Southern Scottish regions boast an exceptional number of activities, from spending a quiet afternoon with a rod and reel beside one of the area’s many excellent rivers, or pushing yourself to the limit along a challenging 7stanes cycle track. Horse riding, golf, sailing, diving and numerous walks are available in the area, and with its famously mild climate and the balmy influence of the Gulf Stream, Galloway is home to some of the most beautiful and exotic gardens. Beach 20 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub 10 miles and restaurant 8 miles.

I love looking over the ocean in the morning from the bedroom. I love running and theres loads of interesting places to run. This was a weeks break in winter but even with the weather, I really enjoyed the visit. The house was plenty warm enough. There was a shop and a garage in the village. I would go back.

We had a lovely time, even in November. It was so clean, and the sound of the sea and watching the birds was wonderfully relaxing. Port William is excellently placed for the beautiful coastline and has a good shop and a delightful restaurant and bar at The View.
