Guests say

Inchkeith View receives glowing praise for its stunning sea views, immaculate presentation, and comfortable, well-equipped interiors. Guests appreciate the peaceful location with excellent transport links to Edinburgh city centre, as well as the proximity to local pubs and restaurants. The property is consistently described as clean, cosy, and thoughtfully prepared, making it ideal for both short breaks and longer stays. While the communal entrance and bins are occasionally mentioned as less appealing, the positives far outweigh any minor drawbacks, with many guests eager to return.

Cleanliness is frequently highlighted, with guests describing the property as spotless, immaculate, and very well presented. Only one review mentions overflowing communal bins outside, which are not under the owner's control and do not affect the flat itself.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful sea views, peaceful setting, and easy access to Edinburgh via bus and tram. Guests enjoy the nearby harbour, restaurants, and pubs. A few note it is a little outside the city centre, but appreciate the tranquillity and transport links.

Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, a spacious and cosy living area, and a warm, homely atmosphere. The property is described as relaxing and ideal for unwinding after exploring the city. One review notes the flat was very hot and the thermostat was unresponsive, but this is an isolated comment.

The flat is described as very well equipped, with a functional kitchen, washer/dryer, good shower, and plenty of sockets. Some guests suggest more hooks for coats, and a couple mention the communal entrance could be improved, but overall facilities are highly rated.

Several guests mention thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits on arrival, as well as helpful communication from the owner. Please note that these welcome gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Right on the south bank of the Firth of Forth, this second floor apartment has the balance of enjoying a fantastic location on the edge of the city centre and enjoying a frankly stunning view over the water towards Inchkeith Island and the Kingdom of Fife. Completely updated in 2022 the apartment is stylish, comfortable and will prove to be an excellent base for whatever the reason for your visit to Scotland’s capital city.

The living room will be enjoyed through your trip whether it be relaxing in front of a movie with a glass of your favourite beverage or simply enjoying the view of the ships or the scenery. The cleverly positioned, raised table and chairs means that the view can also be enjoyed while dining. The kitchen is well-appointed with branded appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and fridge/freezer with the expected crockery, utensils and glassware for almost any occasion. Completing the accommodation is the shower room with a large walk-in shower.

The location of the property is just over two miles from Princes Street in the centre of town, around two and a half miles to the castle so for those who enjoy a walk, the architecture and sights you’ll stumble across, not to mention the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants will undoubtedly tempt you. There is a plethora of bars and restaurants within a 15-minute walk from the apartment. Around a mile and a half along the coast to the east, an eight minute direct bus, number 17, from outside the apartment, is the Port of Leith where the formal Royal Yacht is moored. Again this is an enjoyable walk where you get a sense of how life used to be in this part of town. There are numeroius bars and restaurants including a few Michelin Star eateries which can be found in this part of the city. There are buses outside the apartment which is a direct line to Edinburgh airport also buses into the city centre.

When the tide is out and if the weather suits then just across the road and to the west, only a few hundred yards is Wardie Bay, regarded as one of Edinburgh’s best secret beaches. It is small, however it is perfect for sitting enjoying the sun on a summer’s day, maybe enjoying some fish ’n’ chips or an ice cream. Whatever the reason for your trip, whatever your styles and tastes, whatever it is that you may be into then this fabulous city has something for all and this beautiful apartment is no doubt a superb place to base yourself.

Apartment was lovely. A great base for going into the city, with bus stops to the centre very close! Was very clean and had everything that we needed. The owner was very friendly and emailed me with all the information in the morning of our first day. Great view from the apartment and a great area to stay in, with lots of local pubs and restaurants with amazing food. And views of the water and sunset from them. It was a great price for 4 people, and I would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you so much!

Clean & well equipped for a comfortable stay. Lovely watching the ever changing views from the window at the front overlooking the water. Quite a distance out of central Edinburgh but there were bus stops very close by with regular and easy access in. We used the ‘tap on’ which limited a full days travel at £5.70 so we were able to venture all over the city. There was a very small amount of noise from other flats but very minor and didn’t bother us. There was a neighbours we met were friendly and helpful. Pubs with good food close by. Would stay again.
