Powderhall Brae is a spacious and warm flat in a quiet, beautiful area of Edinburgh, close to the city centre. Guests appreciate the property's size, family-friendliness, and the host's excellent communication. While some guests mention the need for updates to furniture and kitchenware, the overall experience is positive, with many considering a return visit.
The property is generally described as clean and warm. However, there are mentions of a carpet needing a deep clean and black mould on a showerhead, which suggests room for improvement in cleanliness.
The location is praised for being quiet and beautiful, with easy access to the city centre either by walking or public transport. The proximity to local shops and scenic walks adds to the appeal.
Guests find the flat spacious and the layout good, but several reviews mention that the beds and sofas are in need of replacement due to discomfort. Comfortable beds are noted in one review, indicating mixed experiences.
The apartment is well-equipped for families and contains necessary amenities. However, guests have pointed out issues with basic kitchen equipment, wardrobe doors, and limited TV selection, suggesting that some maintenance and updates are needed.
The provision of children's toys and games like Monopoly is a thoughtful touch appreciated by guests. While such gestures are well-received, it is important to note that specific items or gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

A wonderful spacious flat in an amazing location. Very warm and clean . The beds and sofas are in desperate need of replacement.

Nice quiet location, the apartment is spacious and close to the city centre, but the sofas and mattresses aren’t that comfortable, and the communal hall way isn’t particularly welcoming, but for the price and the location, it was a great base to explore Edinburgh. Would be 4 stars + if the sofas and beds had been better, but can’t have it all.

We had a very good stay at Powderhall Brae. The self closing doors took some getting used to and the walk into the centre was good for fitness. The heatwave added an unusual challenge that week!
