Guests say

Meadow View offers a comfortable stay with very comfy beds and a powerful shower. The property is noted for its cleanliness and quiet surroundings, providing a peaceful retreat. Its proximity to the railway station and scenic Fife area, with lovely beaches, adds to its charm. Some guests mentioned a lack of dining facilities and basic condiments, but these were minor issues against the overall pleasant experience.

Guests generally found the property clean upon arrival, contributing to a pleasant stay.

The location is appreciated for its history and scenery, with easy train access, though some guests desired more local amenities.

The beds are praised for comfort, but some guests found the sofas and lack of a proper dining table less comfortable.

Facilities are adequate with a notable shower, but some maintenance issues and unfinished aspects were pointed out.

There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches, so it's not possible to assess this category.

The location is ok for some but very little in the way of restaurants and no points of interest in Lochgelly. You have to travel further for a decent place to eat or do self catering at the accommodation. The local area is fine if you want history. Dunfermline is good also Kirkaldy and Dundee are ok.Go a bit further afield to Anstruther and St.Andrews, Falkland Palace and Dundee.Fife is a lovely area for scenery and the beaches are good.Shops and supermarkets in Cowdenbeath, Kirkaldy, Glenrothes and Dunfermline.Leave the car and it is a 10 minute walk to the railway station. Trains run every 15 minutes in both directions.Easy to get back across the bridge and into Edinburgh. We found that the sofas were a bit uncomfortable as they sink right down when you sit on them, the cushions seem to have sagged. The lack of a proper dinning table and chairs could be a downer for some, there is a folding camp table and folding bench seats. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom facilities were adequate, the shower, over the bath, was particularly powerful and nice and hot.Overall this property is good value for money. For me we would not come again, but we don't very often visit the same place twice anyway.
