LPG central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request.. Garden. Balcony with outdoor furniture. Grounds (shared with owner and other properties on-site). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This woodland alpine lodge sits in an elevated position and offers very comfortable accommodation throughout. There is an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area which offers a spacious feel, with patio doors that lead to a private garden area where you can sit and enjoy the views. On the first floor there is a master bedroom and a twin bedroom both served by a family bathroom. There is private parking adjacent to the lodge.

The property is located near to Chanonry Point which can be seen from the lodge, this is one of the best places in Europe to watch bottlenose dolphins. The whole area is a mecca to wildlife including pine martens, buzzards, roe deer and otters. The owner who lives on site is always on hand to help and advise on the spectacular walks around the lodges. The area is ideal for cycling and walking and is steeped with local history. The nearby villages or Fortrose and Rosemarkie offer a superb selection of public houses serving food and a range of shops providing provisions and gifts. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

    Gorse lodge is lovely, but is a long way from the local amenities.If you take everything with you the lodge is perfect. The lodge is comfortable and well furnished.The lodge is perfectly situated for walking, bird watching and seeing nature at its best.It is ideally situated to see all the surrounding area.We had a lovely week even though the weather wasn't great.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gorse Lodge. What stood out for us was how extremely clean and comfortable the lodge is and its also very quiet and peaceful. We enjoy cycling and walking and there are lots of routes to interesting and pretty places and Gorse Lodge was a fabulous base to come home to each evening. Recommended.
