Large patio doors and high glass windows drink in the amazing sea and mountain views from all angles. It is set in its own open hill grounds that lead directly down to the shoreline. The main living area is open plan. This spectacular room has a high vaulted ceiling in the living area, with feature corner wood burning stove. There is large solid wood dining table and a superb modern kitchen, with integral appliances. Patio doors open onto the terraced area with outdoor dining table and chairs. An adjoining second living room with a TV and DVD ensures plenty of space for larger families or a two family holiday. There are three beautifully presented bedrooms and, with one en suite and two separate bathrooms, Water’s Edge is ideal for a combined or extended family holiday.

This was our second visit to Waters Edge and we have already booked for next year, it is a lovely family home and the location is excellent for people like us who like nature. Saw Dolphins twice in the fortnight, Gannetts diving and seals in front of you every day. When the weather is bad you can sit on the bed and look out or the lounge and keep warm and still see nature right in front of you. Gairloch has all the ameanities you could need from a lovely shop that makes it own icecream, cakes, rolls/sandwiches and pies and pastries. Called crumbs I would highly reccommend, especially the lovely icecream. Co-op opened a new store and there are coffee shops and reasturants. Plenty of nice local walks, and I would recommend Poolewe Gardens, it a must at this time of year.

Waters Edge is the best holiday cottage I have stayed in and I have stayed a number of times over the years, it’s always been maintained at an excellent standard. Additionally, the owners have always been helpful, generous and accommodating. The location is superb for walking, plenty of variety and different levels of challenge, beaches are great for the dogs too.This year we were treated to the Northern Lights and during a walk on the headland a Sea Eagle rose from the rocks below us and flew off, truly magical sight.
